Srinivasaraju’s new film Dandupalya is in trouble again. Earlier the film faced problems because of Pooja Gandhi’s topless act
Some associations had even threatened to ban the film because of the partial nudity scenes. Now, a writer from Mysore has accused director Srinivasaraju of plagiarism.Srinath, who has penned a book called Dandupalyada Hantakaru a decade ago, says the director lifted the story of the film from his book without consulting him. He has even lodged a complaint against the director with the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce.
However, Srinivasaraju has rubbished the allegations: “I have been following the Dandupalya gang’s crimes for a while and have based the story of my film on the basis of newspaper cuttings. I have even spoken to some of the gang members and the police officers, who arrested the gang men. The movie has nothing to do with the book.” Guess that’s a decision for the viewers to make once they seethe film.
